It’s been just over 1 month since little Comicsy was brought kicking and screaming in to the big wide world web. It’s been an interesting month, filled with highs and lows, but I must say I’m happy with the ways things are going.

Although the site went ‘live’ on the 12th September it was not really thrust in to the public gaze until the start of this week, mark it in your diaries, Monday 15th October – the day the revolution started. Prior to this, I’d only waved the site under a couple of people’s noses to gauge interest, which always seemed very positive. 3 days in and we now have 57 different products available from 15 different creators. Not bad, I think?

There have been plenty of other Comicsy Shop sign ups too, over 30 at the time of writing, yet no products from these stores so far. Are they waiting in the wings for the right moment? Is the product addition page to scary? Are they ever coming back? I don’y know the answers to these question but hopefully they will bombard the site in the months to come with a whole load of shiny new small press goodness.

In the meantime, I’d like to thank all who have signed up so far. There have been a couple of sales in a few stores so fear not if you have yet to hear the ch-ching of a payment in your Paypal account. There’s still a long way to go before the site hits its full potential. It would be beneficial to us all if you spread the good word of Comcisy via your own sites, social network accounts and any other methods you may have up your sleeves.

If you’re new to the site and have no interest in setting up your own shop, make sure you purchase some of the lovely goods available on these pages. The small press scene in the UK kicks some serious bottom so show your support and purchase today.
