 | Name: Alfie Gallagher Website: http://www.alfiegallagher.com Bio: Having graduated with a First class Honours degree specialising in Illustration from University of Ulster, Belfast, I worked as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator/creative in Belfast, creating work for NICCY (Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young people), Alternative Ulster music magazine and Environment and Heritage Service (now Northern Ireland Environment Agency). Moving to London I've created illustrative and creative work for Orange, YCN, Madame Tussauds, Broadbean, US-based Popular Mechanics magazine, Finance Director Europe magazine, New Empress film magazine, Stalking Elk magazine and extensive book cover designs encompassing everything from typographic design to children's illustrations for Athena Press. As well as numerous self-published comics material, I have created comic pages and content for Uproar Comics. Also, I've worked as an Art Editor for Medikidz overseeing art teams on a number of their comic publications. My working method and style encompasses hand-drawn to vector-based work utilising a love of life drawing, cartooning and strong design elements. Creative work has included editorial illustration, comic pages, storyboarding and online assets. |
