“Calling Captain Condor…..”
Hibernia is proud to announce the launch of the third collection in ‘The Fleetway Files’ series, ‘Captain Condor’ !
Condor was created by Frank Pepper along with Ron Forbes as Lion’s answer to Dan Dare in Lion No.1 1952. From 1961 to 1963 Frank Pepper was joined on art duty by legendary British comic artist Brian Lewis,
Lewis was a highly regarded comic artist, Science Fiction novel illustrator and animator whose work appeared throughout the fifties to the seventies.
Hibernia are thrilled to be presenting for the first time Brian Lewis’ complete work on Captain Condor from Lion weekly and bring his brilliant art to a whole new audience!
The Fleetway Files- Captain Condor is a fantastically illustrated brilliantly written Sci- Fi romp.
Captain Condor boldly goes years before Captain Kirk started!
Captain Condor is our largest collection yet, at 120 pages it features not only the three complete Brian Lewis Condor strips, ‘The Push Button Planet’, ‘The Unseen Invader’ and the Slave Hunters from Outer Space, it also features an introduction by Kelvin Gosnell, an interview with writer Frank Pepper by Andrew Darlington, and high res scans from a page of original Brian Lewis Captain Condor art courtesy of Masters of British Comic Art author, David Roach.
